A non-profit organization that offers a 6-month transitional work crew program. Our crew members are given part time employment in the service of litter abatement. During these 6 months our crew members work with an assigned job developer to build their resumes/cover letters, job search capabilities, interview/social skills, and work experience. We address potential employment barriers when possible and refer them other useful agencies when necessary. Our program is a great way for people with marginalized backgrounds to get back on their feet and into the workforce, especially since we will not disqualify any potential crew members for their criminal history, gaps in employment, homelessness, or other circumstances of the like. Our goal is to provide our crew members with skills that can help them obtain and maintain permanent employment.

Social media addiction is increasingly common among children and adolescents. Young people are susceptible to the mental health effects caused by the manipulative algorithms used by social media platforms. Social media addiction is the compulsive urge to access and engage with social media platforms at the expense of attending to other areas of your life. While adults are not immune to the urges of social media use, kids and teens are more susceptible because their neurological development is still progressing, particularly executive functioning and decision-making abilities. As a result, your child may find it more difficult to walk away from social media, even if they realize it isn’t good for them.
